Exciting Times

It's been a while since I last posted and I really have no excuse. Hopefully, things will soon change.

First up, I've been contemplating a site redesign for some time and I think I'm closer to nailing what I want it to look like. Simple, simple simple. Just the facts ma'am. I've always had a problem with my portfolio, which is not the thing for a photographer to have a problem with. Hopefully, I'll soon be switching Adobe Lightroom web galleries, which will streamline everything and have the look I like.

Also, I've been working to get some of my photos shown publicly. No, not museums or anything like that, but at local pizza places and coffee shops. The pizza place is up in the air, but the coffee shop seems a bit more solid. I'll post more on that when I know more.

I'm still being published every quarter in Santa Cruz Magazine as their featured photographer. I get to show one image of someplace in Santa Cruz County. Usually the editor goes through my site and picks what she wants, but hey, I'm still published. I was also contacted my pro surfer Peter Mel, whom I shot last year for Santa Cruz Magazine, and he wants to use some of those photos I took for his publicity and website. Pro skier Elyse Saugstad is also using some shot I took for her own publicity purposes and hopefully we'll have another session soon. And Lighthouse Bank will be using one of my photos of the Walton Lighthouse for their brochure. I'm everywhere these days.

Finally, and most importantly, this weekend I will be shooting my sister's senior portraits at a few spots around town. I've been looking forward to this for some time and I hope to have some frames posted by early next week.
